Sudani: Iraqi Government adherent to meet all legitimate demonstrators’ demands
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Minister of Human Rights, Mohamed Shiya al-Sudani stressed that “The Iraqi Government is adherent to meet all the legitimate demands of the demonstrators that are within its authorities.”
A statement by the Ministry cited on Thursday “Sudani received a delegation comprising chieftains and notable figures of Najaf province where he praised the major role of the Iraqi tribes in confronting the sectarianism, fighting terrorism and imposing law throughout Iraq.”
“Large part of the demonstrators’ demands is legitimate and constitutional,” he added noting “The Government is determined to meet those demands and forward the other demands that are out of its power to the Parliament.”
“For their part, Najaf tribal figures praised the efforts exerted by the Government to preserve Iraq’ unity and sovereignty and its positive dealing with the demonstrations through forming ministerial commission to follow up their demands,” the statement concluded.
