Talabani, Iranian Ambassador to Iraq discuss common relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, discussed with the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Danai Far, the Iraqi-Iranian common relations and means of enhancing them.

A statement by the Iraqi Presidency office cited “Talabani received the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq and a number of the embassy’s officials where Talabani referred to the depth of the relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran,” stressing the importance of developing the mutual cooperation between both countries in all fields.”

“For his part, The Iranian Ambassador confirmed to Talabani his country’s willingness to develop and strengthen the mutual relations,” the statement added.

“The two sides discussed the latest developments on the Iraqi and regional arena where Talabani indicated the continuity of the efforts to terminate the current political crisis in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
