Timimi calls Basra local government to allocate part of incomes to voluntary workers

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mansour al-Timimi, called the local government of Basra province to allocate a part of the incomes for the voluntary workers in the province.

Timimi stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “The local government of Basra province must allocate a part of the incomes for the voluntary workers and the graduated students.”

“It is necessary to make contracts with those workers by involving them in the governmental institutions,” he concluded.

Earlier, MP, Suzan al-Saad, called the government to provide job opportunities to the voluntary workers in Basra provinces.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, Saad rejected “Exploiting the graduated students who are jobless by using them without granting them monthly salaries or wages.”

She called to “Allocate sums of the Petro-dollar that were assigned to Basra province during the visit of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to Basra province, in order to provide job opportunities to the jobless, particularly the graduated students.”

She expressed “Surprise over the silence of the local government of Basra over the rights of those people and making them working for several months without paying wages for them.’

“I will do my best to get the approval of the parliament to allocate sums for these people to get their rights,” she concluded.
