Turkey condemns Friday terrorist bombings in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Turkey condemned the terrorist bombings that took place in Iraq on last Friday.

A statement by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “We have learned with deep sorrow that, according to initial reports, approximately thirty people lost their lives and many others were injured as a result of the bomb attacks perpetrated on last Friday in Iraq’s capital city Baghdad and in the city of Hilla located south of Baghdad.”

“We strongly condemn these heinous terrorist attacks, wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in these attacks, convey our condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those wounded,” the statement continued.

“Turkey will continue supporting the efforts aimed at promoting the security, stability and tranquility in Iraq and maintaining its solidarity with the brotherly people of Iraq in fighting terrorism,” the statement concluded.

Baghdad, Babel and Karbala witnessed car bombings that killed and injured dozens of citizens on last Friday.
