Turkmen MP holds Baghdad, Erbil governments responsible for Tuz Khurmatu bombings

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkmen MP Hassan Ozmen held the two governments of Baghdad and Erbil responsibility for the bombings of Tuz Khurmatu district, calling the Kurdish security forces to withdraw from the district and entrust the security responsibility for Dijla Operations Command or allowing the people of the district to form security groups to protect themselves.

Tuz Khurmatu district of Salah il-Din province witnessed on last Tuesday car bomb explosion and a suicide bombing targeting protestors, thus resulted in killing and injuring dozens including head of the Turkmen Front, Ali Hashim and Assistant Governor of Salah il-Din, Ahmed Qawja.

Ozmen stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The government of Baghdad and that of Erbil are responsible for these bombings where this area is within the disputed areas between the two governments,” pointing out that “The Kurdish security forces neither allow Dijla Operations Command to enter Tuz district and provide security nor taking the lead and secure the area.”

He called all the security forces to withdraw from the district and entrust the security file to the people of the district.
