(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday the United Nations demanded 861 million dollars to help Iraq address the humanitarian crisis caused by the fight against ISIS.

The Minister of Immigration Jassim Mohammed said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The provisions specified in the federal budget will not be enough to fulfill the increasing needs,” adding that, “Iraq expects that the plan of the United Nations will contribute in covering the deficit in humanitarian needs.”

Noteworthy, Iraq’s revenues declined due to the decrease in world oil prices, while the Iraqi government affirmed that it will be able to provide less than half the amount of 1.56 billion dollars, which is the cost of a plan to help about ten million people.
