Urgent….Parliament’s chairmanship approves request to investigate Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Liqa Wardi of the Iraqiya Slate announced that the chairmanship of the Iraqi Parliament approved the request of investigating the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.

Wardi told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Parliament’s chairmanship approved the request submitted by a number of MPs to summon Maliki at the Parliament session to interrogate him over his violation to the constitution.”

She expected that “Maliki will appeal against this decision at the Federal Court similar to what each of Ministers of Higher Education and Youth did when they refused to attend the investigation session at the Parliament.”
