Urgent…Religious Authority urges CG, KRG to avoid blood shed

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Religious Authority urged the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government to avoid the blood shed and the clashes.

The representative of the Religious Authority, Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, stated during Friday Prayer held in the holy shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala “There are positive indicators over reaching a peaceful solution for the crisis between the CG and the KRG.”

“We confirmed previously that the disputes must be solved by resorting the constitution and the agreements that do not contradict the constitution and by avoiding the tensed statements,” he continued.

“We emphasize the two sides and the other political sides to work on preserving the good relations among the Iraqis and their national unity,” he concluded.
