White bloc ready to mediate between Baghdad Erbil

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc expressed willingness to mediate to resolve the current crisis between the Iraqi Federal Government and Kurdistan Region.

The Spokesperson of the bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmary, stated that “The current tensions and the escalation in the media statements do not reflect the reality of the misunderstanding between the two sides.”

Shimmary called to “settle the crisis internally instead of calling for external security forces in the disputed areas because this would crease further problems.”

It is worth to mention that last Friday witnessed clashes between elements from Dijla Operations Command and bodyguards of a Kurdish figure in east of Tikrit city, capital of Salah il-Din province, resulted in killing a civilian and injuring a number of Dijla OC’s members.
