Yazidi bloc denounces Kurdistan Region approval for demolishing Yazidi religious temple

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of Yazidi Movement for Reform and Progress, Amin Farhan Jejo, described “The approval of Kurdistan Region for demolishing a religious Yazidi temple in Dohuk province as abusive and dangerous, regarding it as a coward step.”

Jejo cited Kurdistan Region authorities attempt to erase everything that symbolizes the Yazidi religion after approving to demolish the temple that is located amid cemetery for Yazidi people, under a pretext of archeological excavations by Italian mission.”

“Since the fall of the former regime, the people of Yazidi religion are victims of the polices of some sides in Kurdistan Region which try to demonstrate the Kurdish identity for the Yazidi people in Nineveh and Dohuk,”

Jejo called on “The Central Government to put an end to the violations of Kurdistan Region for the Yazidi community.”
