Zebari, US Ambassador discuss developments of political process

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, and the US Ambassador, Steven Bikroft, discussed the developments of the political process.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by cited “Both sides reviewed the updates in the country and the bilateral relations under the Strategic Framework Agreement concluded between the two countries.”

“They also discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the Joint Committee of coordinating political and diplomatic affairs after the start of the new US Administration for its performance,” the statement added.

“They tackled the situation in the middle east especially in Syria and the Iraqi relations with the neighboring countries as well as the UN Security Council,” the statement concluded.
