Finance Committee: We seek to endorse new unified retirement law soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Hussein al-Yasiri of the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced that it will try to issue the unified retirement law and include it with an item to increase the retirement pensions.

Yasiri told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “The retirement law draft will be soon submitted to the Parliament,” stressing that “The most important thing in the law is that it will unify the pensions for all the recipients to achieve equality among the old and new retirees.”

Some retirees in many provinces have demonstrated in last December where they demanded the Parliament to pass the new law on retirement according to the amendments that ensure a decent life for the retirees.
