Financial Committee demands to cancel Presidencies social allocations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Financial Parliamentary Committee, Haythem al-Jubouri, reveled “allocating more than IQD 20 billion from the state financial budget as social benefits for the three presidencies.”

Jubouri stated to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”The social benefits of the three presidencies exist in the State budget of 2013 and it was listed within the budget law project,” noting that “The amounts that were allocated for each presidency reaches IQD 7,5 billion.”

”The financial committee recommends to cancel these social benefits in similar way to the situation in the state budgets of the past two years, and transport its funds to the social welfare network.”

The Parliament decided to cancel the social benefits of the three presidencies in 2011 in response to the demands of many political blocs, while the Premier Nouri al-Maliki criticized this resolution and demanded to return these allocations in 2013. \
