Iran to pump natural gas to Iraq next month

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The director of National Iranian Gas Company Hameed Reza announced that his country will start exporting natural gas to Iraq by next month.
The newspaper “Iran Daily” quoted Reza as saying, “The natural gas pumping process will begin next month after the end of final exams procedures on the pipeline,” noting that “export scheme could begin this month, but the two sides were not ready technically to start the process of pumping” .
The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced on April 20, 2015 that it had begun preliminary testing of 50km of pipelines in the final stage to export gas to Iraq, indicating that the export operations will begin after the completion of the second test.
