(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced on Monday, that Iraq exported more than 100 million barrels of oil in January 2016, with a total revenues of more than two billion dollars.

The Ministry of Oil Spokesman Assem Jihad said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The ministry achieved the highest numbers regarding the exported amounts in an unprecedented way in January.”

Jihad added, “The total exports from the southern ports were amounted to 101,839,743 barrels, with a total revenue of two billion and 262 million dollars,” pointing out that, “The ministry’s statistics did not indicate any quantities exported through the northern port (Turkish port of Ceyhan).”

Jihad continued, “The daily average of oil exports in January reached three million and 285 thousand barrels, with a daily production rate of three million and 900 thousand barrels,” indicating that “The average price of the barrel reached $22 and 212 cents.”
