Iraq holds consultation round with International Monetary Fund in Amman

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, an Iraqi government delegation headed by Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari held in Amman, Jordan the annual consultation round with the International Monetary Fund aimed at investigating the effect of the war against ISIS on the Iraqi economy and  discussing plan of the 2015 budget in Iraq.

Iraqi Finance Ministry said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Zebari led a delegation with the participation of the representatives of Central Bank, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Oil and a number of financial and economic experts in the Jordanian capital Amman,” pointing out that, “Today, the delegation held an annual round of consultations between the government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).”

The ministry added, “Zebari presented the current overview of political, security and economic conditions, in addition to plans and programs of the government in the next phase, in particular providing the 2015 budget to the House of Representatives, the fight against corruption and administrative and financial reforms.”
