Iraq oil exports rise in October, revenues exceed $6 billion USD

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday the Iraqi Oil Ministry announced that October oil exports reached a total of 76.25 million barrels with revenues exceeding 6 billion dollars, a slight increase over September exports which reached 76 million barrels. The Ministry confirmed that oil exports to the Turkish port of Ceyhan remain suspended due to terrorist operations.

Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The preliminary statistics issued by the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) revealed that total oil exports for the month of October rose slightly above September volume  to 76.25 over 76,000,282 barrels in September,”, adding that “the revenues derived from such exports amounted to 6.24 billion dollars.”

Jihad said that “the the daily average quantities exported for the month of October from southern ports amounted to 2,000,461 barrels,” pointing out that “the average selling price reached $81.83 dollars per barrel.”
