(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday the Ministry of Planning signed an agreement with the European Union to get more than 27 million Euros for the implementation of social justice and local development project, while the European Union announced providing assistance to Iraq worth 120 million Euros in the three areas.

Planning Minister Salman Jumaili said in a joint press conference with EU Ambassador to Iraq Jana Hischofa held at the ministry building and attended by IraqiNews.com: “Iraq has signed an agreement with the European Union to get 27.875 million Euros”, indicating that, “the grant will be allocated for a project to support Justice Criminal and improve the situation of detainees, as well as local development. ”

Jumaili added, “The project of supporting justice will be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Fight Against Terrorism Device and National Security and all the relevant institutions,”  noting that, “local development project will be implemented by local governments in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning.”
