Karbala PC objects contacting over housing complex with UAE company

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The investment committee of Karbala provincial council announced that its reservations on many terms of the housing complex project (Thifaf Karbala), with the UAE company (Blum) of real estates which is “supposed to be signed next week.”Member of the investment committee, Bushra Ashur, stated to IraqiNews.com that ”The national investment committee is negotiating with the UAE company because the administration of the company aroused many suspicions over the contract in 2009 which required the investment commission to negotiate with the company without consulting the investment committee or the provincial council.””The conditions, which were set by the company, may oppose the interests of the province since the company is demanding to prevent the local government in Karbala from granting any investment licenses to establish any housing complexes for four years,” she added.”The member of the investment committee ruled out to sign the contract where the provincial council is intending to study the terms of the contract very carefully before signing it,” the statement concluded. \
