Local companies express readiness to invest in Iraqi free zones

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Authority for Free Zones associated to the Ministry of Finance announced that there are a number of local companies expressed readiness to invest in the free zones of Khor al-Zubair and Nineveh.

The Director General of the Authority, Salih al-Qaisi said that “Al-Dhahir Company for Commercial Contracting expressed willingness to invest a project to establish a free zone in Khor al-Zubair to practice all the service, commercial and industrial activities,” noting that “The land area of the project is no less than 8 million sq meters.”

“While Nour Star Company also offered to establish a free zone in Nineveh to practice industrial, service and commercial activities,” Qaisi added pointing out “These offers will be submitted to the economic feasibility process.”
