Mayahi demands Parliament to discuss violations in Central Bank of Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member in the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Aziz Sharif al-Mayahi, revealed that “There are some sides that are working systematically to destroy the Iraqi economy through getting the foreign currency out of Iraq.”

He called “The Parliament to hold special session to discuss the violations within the Central bank of Iraq.”

Mayahi said “There are dubious deals conducted by influential figures within and outside the Central Bank who work orderly with certain companies in form of economic mafias to deplete the Banks’ reserves and provide cover for unknown money to launder them in order to remove these sums for parties that do not wish good for Iraq.”

It is worth to mention that the member of the Economy Committee, Salman al-Musawi, disclosed earlier, the Parliament’s inability to monitor the performance of the CBI due to its lack for experts in the financial and banking administration.
