MoC offers investment opportunities in optical access, transit networks

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Company of Post and Communications within the Ministry of Communications intends to offer huge investment opportunities with funds that might reach billions of dollars to establish projects in the field of Optical access networks and transit projects.The company reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The investment opportunities aim to take advantage of the geographic location of Iraq to transport the services of information and communications from Europe to the countries of the Arab Gulf.””The company is planning to offer the opportunity for private sector companies to present the services of information, post and communications while the infrastructure will remain the task of the General Company of Post and Communications,” the statement added.”The company considers the possibility of merging the wireless services, which is offered by the company, with Nakhel company in order to improve the quality of services offered to people,” the statement concluded. \
