More housing units allocated for widows, orphans, disabled

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Construction and Housing, Mohamed Saheb al-Daraji, announced intention pof the Ministry to increase the share of widows, orphans and disabled people from (5% to10%) of housing units to meet the urgent needs of those people.

The Minister reported in press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The national council of housing, headed by the undersecretary of the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Ali al-Allaq and membership of the chairman of the national committee for investment, Baghdad mayor, representatives of ministries of Planning, Municipalities, Public works and Baghdad Mayorship decided to increase the share of widows, orphans and disabled people.”

The statement pointed out ”The Ministry is determined to distribute some housing units on those people covered in the provinces.”

”The national council for housing decided to discount (75%) of the housing unit’s price and so the people covered with the housing units will pay only (25%) of the price of the housing unit and the rest will be paid by monthly installments,” stressing that ”The housing units which will be distributed for these people will be almost for free.” \
