MP: borrowing from IMF is exclusively CG task

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The MP of the parliamentary finance committee, Sarhan Ahmed, pointed out that “the process of borrowing from International Monetary Fund is exclusively the task of the Central Government showing that the Executive Authority is responsible for achieving the items in the Iraqi budget. Ahmed told IraqiNews.com that “the task of the Legislature concerning the budget finished after being ratified by the president of Iraq and published in Iraqi Al-Waqa’eh newspaper”, referring that ” the process of borrowing from International Monetary Fund is exclusively the task of the federal cabinet but the task of the Legislature is merely to monitor and vote on the rules”. /End/
