MP demands to activate central for standardization and quality control

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mansur al-Temimi stated that “Iraqi markets are filled with corrupted goods and called to launch a national campaign to activate the center of standardization and quality control.”

He mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday ”The merchants are importing spoiled materials and spread it into Iraqi markets which contributed in impacting citizens health situation.”

”We intend to collect enough signatures to launch a campaign to activate the central body for standardization and quality control to preserve citizens health,” the statement added.

Economic observers believe that the center of standardization and quality control has not been activated correctly since too many goods in markets, specially food, are goods of inferior quality and do not meet required specifications. \
