Oil exports from Basra to exceed 2.6 million barrels

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, head of the Iraqi oil marketing company ‘Sumo’ predicted that the average oil exports from the port of Basra will exceed 2.6 million barrels per day in the current month of December.

Falah al-Amiri, head of the company, said in a statement reported by ‘Reuters’ on the sidelines of the OAPEC meeting in Abu Dhab, “The Iraqi exports from Basra port often fluctuates because of the weather or technical issues.”

He explained that, “According to navigational sources, the volume of exports has reached 2.4 million barrels per day in early November.”

Iraqi Oil Ministry announced on November 2, 2014 there was a slight increase in oil exports for the  previous month of October by 76 million and 282 thousand barrels, indicating that the oil revenues amounted to more than 6 billion dollars, while confirming that the oil exports to the Turkish port of Ceyhan were still ceased because terrorism.”
