Oil production rates of southern fields exceed 3 million barrels/day, says Oil Minister

 

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said that the oil production rates in the southern oil fields reach 3 million barrels per day, noting that the export rate stands at 2.5 million barrels.

Abdul-Mahdi said during a news conference attended by IraqiNews.com ,“It is normal that the daily production rates in the southern fields sometimes exceed 3 million barrels per day, at other times it can reach 3.2 million barrels per day.”

Abdul-Mahdi added, “A portion of these produced quantities goes to the local refineries. The volume of oil exports increases at certain times up to 2.5 million barrels per day.”
