Russian Luk Oil Co inaugurates training center for Iraqi cadres at 2nd Western Qurna oil field

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Russian Luk Oil Middle East Company Ltd, which is managing the Second Western Qurna oil field, inaugurated on last Wednesdays a training center in Basra to assume the visual and practical qualification for the Iraqi local cadre.

A statement by the Company cited that “The SPIE Oil & Gas Services Company which occupies a leading position in field of technical training for cadres of the largest world oil and gas companies runs this training center where it depends on the modules system that is based on strengthening the efficiency.”

“This center also includes a number of practical technical specializations and courses in domains of health, professional safety and environment protection besides other activities,” the statement added.

It is worth mentioning that the Russian Luk Oil Co. had concluded a twenty-year contract with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to develop the second phase of Eastern Qurna oil field in a bid round that was held in 2009 to produce 1,8 million oil barrel per day within six years.
