USD price fluctuations cost Iraq 3 billions within 2 months

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of Parliament Kadhim al-Shimari, the official spokesperson of the White Bloc reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com that “The international reports confirm that the huge state budget of Iraq only depends on the revenues of oil exports sent to the Iraq development fund within the International Development Fund.”

“The Iraqi economy is suffering of many fluctuations in the price of Iraqi dinar against the US dollar which cost Iraq about USD 3 billion within two months in 2012,” he added. “Some powerful figures in the Iraqi government is seeking to take advantage of surplus of oil revenues to increase their personal balances abroad,” he concluded.
