(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the Minister of Natural Resources of Kurdistan Regional Government, Ashti Hawrami said that the province will export 500.000 barrels of oil per day in 2015, while noting that the problem of the government’s right in the region to export its oil independently remains unsolved with Baghdad.

Hawrami said in a press conference held today in London, quoted by  ‘Reuters’ and followed by IraqiNews.com, “The region will export  500.000 barrels of oil per day by the end of the first quarter of 2015,” noting that, “The region will become a contributor to the budget of Iraq by the end of next year.”

Hawrami added that the problem of the government’s right in the region to export its oil independently remains unsolved with Baghdad, but he for the first time pins hope on the possibility to resolve the longstanding dispute.
