(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday the President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim announced the allocation of 250 million dollars to restore the basic infrastructure in the liberated areas in Iraq, while pointed out to the need for intensified efforts to fight ISIS.

Kim said during a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the President of the Islamic Bank and followed by IraqiNews.com, “The forces fighting against ISIS have used the skill and capacity of a variety of communities to reclaim Iraqi lands,” pointing out that, “This success shows the power and impact Iraqis can have when they work together in common cause.”

Kim added, “The World Bank allocated 250 million dollars to restore the basic infrastructure and public services in the liberated areas in Iraq.”
