World Bank offers Iraq loan to renovate Karbala Cement Plant

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The World Bank announced offering a loan for Iraq at cost of $ 70 million to reconstruct Karbala Cement Plant.

A statement by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the investment arm of the World Bank, cited that “A loan of $ 70 million will be offered to Karbala Cement Plant that is associated with the French Lafarge Group to help it rehabilitate the plant as part of its efforts to support the local construction sector and take part in rebuilding Iraq.”
