(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – According to a security source in Salahuddin province, seven of the visitors to Imam Ali al-Hadi have been killed and 12 others were wounded in a suicide bombing south of Samarra.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up on Wednesday evening, amid crowds of visitors returning from Imam Ali al-Hadi’s visit in the area between al-Ishaqi and Balad south of Samarra, killing at least seven and injuring 12 others.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The security force cordoned off the scene, while ambulances transported the injured to a nearby hospital, and the dead bodies to the Forensic Medicine Authority.”
