Amiri supervises transporting pilgrims returning from Karbala

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Transportation Hadi al-Amiri decided to transport the pilgrims returning from Karbala province directly to their homes instead of transporting them outside Karbala province first and then back to their provinces.

A statement by the Transportation Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited Saturday “The Minister of Transportation held a meeting in Karbala governorate which was attended by Karbala governor Amal al-Har, Commander of Mid-Euphrates Operations General Othman al-Ghanimi as well as other officials.”

“Amiri accompanied by Karbala governor and other officials made a night tour on the checkpoints of Karbala to supervise the procedure of transporting the pilgrims outside the province,” the statement concluded.
