 Anbar Council announces stopping return of displaced people to Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – Anbar Provincial Council announced on Sunday stopping the return of the displaced persons to the city of Ramadi (110 km west of Ramadi) until further notice, while attributed the reason to the presence of improvised explosive devices in the central districts of the city.

The head of the provincial council, Sabah Karhoot, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces and government committees stopped the return of all displaced people to the city of Ramadi until further notice,” pointing out to, “the presence of explosive devices and booby-trapped buildings within the neighborhoods of the city of Ramadi, particularly in the areas of Joabh, al-Sajarih and al-Aramel.”
