Babel PC decides to establish Teleferik project in Babylon City

Babylon (IraqiNews.com) Babel Provincial Council decided to set up a cable car “Teleferik” system to connect the city center of Hilla with the ancient city of Babylon in the province.

The Second Deputy Chairman of the Babel Provincial Council, Mansour al-Maneea, told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) today that “The provincial council decided to establish a Teleferik system for the purpose of linking the three hills in the archeological Babylon with the city center of Hilla as well as the establishment of tourist facilities over those hills for the purpose of activating tourism in the province.”

He added that “The decision includes instructions for Babel Governor to set the technical details and plans for the project to be included within the plan of 2013.”
