Babel PC member calls to reconsider decision of withdrawing security from Babel ancient sites

Babel (IraqiNews.com) Member of the finance and economy committee within Babel Provincial Council, Mansour al-Mani’ called not to withdraw the security forces tasked with securing the ancient sites and unexcavated hills in Babel.

Mani’ told IraqiNews.com on Thursday “The decision of Babel Police Command to withdraw the security guards from the archeological sites is a serious step; therefore we call to reconsider it.”

“The ancient sites in the province which amount to 400 one that are not officially excavated should not be left without sufficient security,” he added.
