Britain opens visa center in Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The British Ambassador to Iraq, Frank Becker, inaugurated officially on Thursday the new center to offer visa for the United Kingdom in Basra Province.

Becker said in a press statement by the British Embassy in Baghdad received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday “It is to my pleasure to inaugurate this center today which is an extension for the first class experiment to serve our customers in Baghdad and Erbil.”

“The new visa center in Basra will facilitate developing flourishing economic and cultural relations between the two countries since the it is the first time for the people in the south of Iraq to have a visa to travel for the UK without necessity to travel to Baghdad or Erbil,” he added.

He mentioned “The new center is located at the first flour in Basra International Hotel near Shat-al-Arab River.” /End/
