CoM confirms implementation of green belts projects

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Environment considered the instructions of the General Secretariat of the Cabinet and the concerned ministries, regarding the importance of the implementation of the projects of establishing green areas, as a very important step which contributes in enhancing the environmental reality and combating the desertification phenomenon.

The Ministry of Environment reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday ”The General Secretariat of the Cabinet has recently instructed the Ministry of Environment to expedite the implementation of Green belts projects and to provide the required funds for such projects,” noting that “The Prime Minister endorsed the recommendations of the Secretary of the State for provinces affairs to expedite the green areas projects implementation to avert the Problem of desertification.”

”The funding of the green areas projects was listed within the budget of developing regions and all the provincial councils was informed to provide all the necessary support for the committees which tasked with these projects through joint coordination among the Iraqi provinces,” the statement added. \
