CoM implements combat smoking law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Secretariat of the Cabinet imposed strict measures to implement the law of combating smoking no.19 of 2012 including the penals against violators.

The press office within the General Secretariat mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday ”The procedures included to prevent direct or indirect promotion of smoking and to prevent any advertisement posters whether printed on bags, hats, umbrellas or even on traffic signs.”

The statement added ”The procedures covered all companies that export or manufacture cigarettes and the companies should remove all its smoking advertisement within six months since the date of the law implementation.” \
