Diwaniya Police Command starts security plan of Arbaeen pilgrimage

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) Diwaniya Police Command announced on Wednesday the start of a new security plan to secure the Arbaeen Pilgrimage for visiting the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein may peace be upon him.

Commander of Diwaniya Police Command, General Abdul Jalil al-Asadi, stated to IraqiNews.com “”The plan includes deploying more security elements on the main roads used by the pilgrims heading to Karbala province and increasing the number of high way patrols and check points on the entrances of the province to check and inspect the visiting vehicles.”

“The plan was prepared in cooperation and coordination with the Command of the Mid-Euphrates Operations Command, Intelligence Service, National Security, Civil Defense and Traffic Police Departments in addition to activating the role of the local councils to provide information about odd activities,” Abdul Jalil added. /End/
