(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force said Saturday, that 45 people have suffered from suffocation as a result of explosion of chlorine gas pipeline in southern Baghdad.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told IraqiNews.com, “Yesterday evening, a chlorine gas pipline has exploded in the area of Arab Jabour in southern Baghdad,” noting that, “The explosion resulted in a chlorine gas leak, as well as injuring 45 persons from suffocation.”

“Ambulances transferred the injured to a near hospital for medical treatment,” the source added.
