(IraqiNews.com) Muthanna – On Wednesday the governor of Muthanna “Faleh Abdul Hassan al-Ziadi” revealed details about the kidnapping of Qatari hunters in Samawah city, while noted that the militants abducted 26 Qatari hunters by using 70 four-wheel drive vehicles.

Al-Ziadi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, “Big armed force driving about 70 four-wheel drive vehicles, on Tuesday midnight, entered into Samawah, specifically in the area of Hinniyah near Baseh area,” indicating that, “The militants kidnapped 26 Qatari hunters who were camping in the area.”

He added, “The Qataris received clearance to enter the province from officias represented by the Ministry of Interior,” pointing out, “The local government of Muthanna informed the ministry of Interior of its inability to protect Gulf arrivals due to the vast area”.

Governor of Muthanna explained, “Samawah city represents a third of Iraqi territory and it is a very vast area and most of its regions are not secured.”

Earlier today the security committee of Muthanna Council announced the kidnapping of the Qatari hunters at Samawah, and noted that the security forced have started to perform searches for the kidnapped.
