Hammoud said in a press conference held today in the ministry building, attended by IraqiNews.com, “Iraq is completely free from swine or epidemiological flu that stroke Iraq in 2009,” pointing out that “The death, of five people was due to the seasonal flue that varies depending on the severity of the virus causing it.”

Hammoud added,”Seasonal flu H1N1 has infected 13 people in all Iraqi provinces, leaving five dead,” attributing the causes of these deaths to “the delay in visiting health institutions, which led to complications and death.”

Hammoud demanded all citizens to head directly to the nearest health institution for treatment in case they are infected with flu, indicating that, “The ministry has provided all medications needed by citizens despite the decline in the 2015 budget.”
