HR Parliamentary committee meets activists in women rights

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Chairman of the Human Rights Parliamentary Committee, MP Salim al-Jubouri, met a delegation consisting of activists in the field of the Iraqi women rights and the civil community organizations at the headquarter of the committee and the two parties discussed the conditions of women in Iraq.

The office of Jubouri reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”The meeting included, discussing the situation of the Iraqi woman and the key problems which face their rights to deter violations and violence against women.”

Jubouri stressed ”The importance of promoting the role of the Iraq women since it became so active on political, economy, social and cultural levels considering that more than half of our society is composed of female elements.” \
