IAEA hails Ministry of Environment efforts concerning dismantling destroyed nuclear facilities

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The International Atomic Energy Agency hailed the efforts of the Ministry of Environment concerning the center of protection from radiation for those who work on dismantling the destroyed nuclear facilities in Iraq.

A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The recent report of the IAEA praised the safety standards implemented by the Ministry in the radiating facilities.”

“The report tackled the nature of the work in several facilities including Twitha in Baghdad and Adaya in Nineveh province,” the statement added.

“The Ministry works according to environmental systems adopted on international level,” the statement concluded.
