Inspector General of Iraqi health Ministry denies detaining him

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Inspector General of the Iraqi Ministry of Health, Adil Muhsen, denied the news over his detention by the Integrity Commission while he was at Baghdad International Airport.

Muhsen told IraqiNews.com through a phone call that “I categorically deny the reports which announced that the Integrity Commission detained me,” describing these reports as groundless.”

“There are certain sides try to undermine the honest officials, who are against corruption in all its forms, to hide their involvement in the financial and administrative corruption,” he added.

“He will continue to fight the corruption and will be more eager to curb the gangs of corruption than before,” Muhsen stressed.

It is worth mentioning that certain source from the parliamentary integrity committee has revealed on last Monday that the Integrity Commission detained Muhsen and prevented him from traveling abroad.

For its part, Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) apologizes to the Inspector General if the information of the source is inaccurate.
