Iraq expects greater role for Turkey in aiding displaced citizens, says Minister

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Immigrants and Displaced, Jasim Mohamed, said that Iraq expects a greater role for Turkey in aiding the displaced citizens.

A statement by the Ministry of received by IraqiNews.com cited “While meeting the Turkish Ambassador, the Minister confirmed that Iraq undergoes a critical crisis due to the huge number of displaced citizens by the terrorists ofthe Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.”

“The crisis requires the efforts of the international community to help Iraq in providing the necessary aid for the displaced people,” the statement added.

“The Ambassador stressed that the Turkish Government presented an estimated million USD worth humanitarian aids to the Iraqi displaced citizens and the Government will keep on its help to Iraq in this regard,” the statement concluded. /End/
