Iraq may form new court system to prosecute terrorism

(IraqiNews.com) The Iraq Human Rights High Commission revealed a proposal under discussion to create a criminal court related to terrorist actions inside Iraq, calling on citizens to document the crimes committed by the terrorist organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.

The Commission member, Salama al-Khafaji said that “the terrorist elements of ISIL trying to stir up fear and anxiety in the hearts of citizens by committing the most heinous crimes,” pointing out that “gangs incitements forced the families of certain components to flee in order to remove those components of their places.”

Al-Khafaji added that “some neighboring countries are trying to cover up the crimes of ISIL Which have been exposed to the Iraqi people, These countries claim that what is happening in Iraq is because of political differences, “asking the international community to” criminalize the terrorist operations of ISIL. “
