Iraqi Interior Ministry confirms legality of proceedings taken over Nijaifi’s relative killing

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Interior confirmed the legality of the procedures taken in following up the issue of killing a close a relative to the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi who was killed on last Wednesday in Nineveh province.

A statement by the Ministry cited that “The legal proceedings followed by Nineveh Police Department over determining the death of Nijaifi’s relative, who was a victim of random bullet are legal.”

Abdul Rahman Khalid al-Nijaifi, 10 years, was killed due to an armed attack in central Mosul, capital of Nineveh.

While Nineveh Governor, Atheel al-Nijaifi, a brother of the Speaker, accused security force of assassinating the son of the latter’s protection manager.
